This month, Capstone Hospice is proud to celebrate Monique Huitt as our Hero of the Month. Monique’s heartfelt approach to care and her ability to bring comfort to patients during life’s most vulnerable moments make her an invaluable part of the Capstone team.
Monique chose hospice care because of her deep love for helping others. She is passionate about making her patients feel safe, comfortable, and less afraid during their journey. Her goal is simple yet powerful—to help each patient reconnect with a sense of who they are beyond their illness. Through her compassion and presence, she creates an environment where patients can feel dignity, peace, and genuine human connection.
When it comes to Capstone, Monique has no shortage of appreciation. She values the stability and flexibility the organization provides, allowing her to balance her professional and personal life while still giving her best to her patients. More importantly, she treasures being part of a team that truly cares. She proudly identifies with the Red Team, celebrating the unity and shared purpose that defines the culture. For Monique, being part of something built with intention and compassion is both meaningful and motivating.
Outside of work, Monique finds joy in life’s simplest and most meaningful moments. She loves relaxing at the beach and spending quality time with her family, which she considers her greatest priority. These moments allow her to recharge and continue showing up for her patients with the same warmth and dedication she’s known for.
For her charitable contribution, Monique has chosen St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause that reflects her caring nature and desire to make a difference beyond her daily work.
We are honored to recognize Monique Huitt for her compassion, dedication, and the genuine care she brings to every patient interaction. Please join us in congratulating Monique on being named Hero of the Month. Her work truly makes a difference, and we are grateful to have her as part of the Capstone Hospice family.
