This May, Capstone Hospice is proud to recognize April Christopher as our Hero of the Month. April’s natural compassion and dedication to supporting others shine through in every interaction, making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families during one of life’s most important transitions.
April has always felt drawn to roles centered around caring for others. In hospice, she has found a place where that instinct is not only valued but essential. She takes great pride in being able to support both patients and their families as they navigate a deeply emotional and significant time. Her presence brings comfort, reassurance, and a sense of calm, helping those she serves feel less alone in the process.
What April values most about working at Capstone is the sense of purpose her role provides. For her, this work goes far beyond a typical job—it’s something that brings meaning to her everyday life. Knowing that her efforts contribute to compassionate, patient-centered care gives her a deep sense of fulfillment and connection to the mission.
Outside of work, April enjoys a balanced life filled with both adventure and quiet moments. She loves traveling with her husband, spending time with family and friends, and also appreciates the simplicity of a peaceful weekend with no plans at all. That balance allows her to recharge and continue showing up for her patients with the same level of care and attention.
For her charitable contribution, April has chosen Identify the Mission, an organization led by Kristi Carr, whose dedication to helping others has made a strong impression on her. April’s choice reflects her appreciation for individuals and organizations that lead with compassion and purpose.
We are honored to celebrate April Christopher and the impact she makes each day. Her kindness, empathy, and commitment to meaningful care embody everything Capstone Hospice stands for. Congratulations, April, on this well-deserved recognition.
